If you have watched my videos, you may know that I have a passion to teach people how to sew. And because I learned to sew at a very young age…I would love to teach young girls (and boys) how to sew.
Several years ago I sold products rather
than digital items and I quickly realized that the shipping
rates were eating up one third of my profits. Also, I was teaching (public school 20 plus years) at that time
and had children at home, so there wasn’t a lot of extra time to devote to
sewing and then shipping. That's when I decided that offering patterns for dolls would be a little less time consuming than making handmade products to sell online. The videos online also came about around the same time because they were a natural extension using my instructional knowledge and background.
As mentioned above, I am a mom of 2 kids, wife, a retired teacher (second grade), and seamstress. I also have 4 adorable grandchildren. I have a BA in Art and I have my National Board Certification in elementary K-3 instruction. Using fabric as my art medium is my specialty.
