If you have watched my videos, you may know that I have a passion to teach people how to sew. And because I learned to sew at a very young age…I would love to teach young girls (and boys) how to sew.
Several years ago I sold products rather
than digital items on my Etsy page and I quickly realized that the shipping
rates were eating up one third of my profits. Also, I was teaching (public school 20 plus years) at that time
and had children at home, so there wasn’t a lot of extra time to devote to
sewing and then shipping. That's when I decided that offering patterns for dolls would be alittle less time consuming than making handmade products to sell online. The videos online also came about around the same time because they were a natural extension using my instructional knowledge and background.
As mentioned above, I am a mom of 2 kids, wife, a retired teacher (second grade), and seamstress. I also have 4 adorable grandchildren. I have a BA in Art and I have my National Board Certification in elementary K-3 instruction. Using fabric as my art medium is my specialty.
